Position: Maintenance Custodian

Classification: Part Time

Reports to: Custodian Manager

General Description

Responsible for custodian duties of the entire facilities to keep it safe and clean.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe working conditions and practices

• Must know or learn the proper use of all chemicals used

• Maintain all cleaning equipment

• Must follow all cleaning schedules as posted

• Critical to check and fill all paper products

• Clean windows in assigned areas

• Sweep, vacuum, dust mop or wet mop floors in assigned areas

• Remove trash from assigned areas

• Dust all assigned areas weekly or more if needed

• Clean and sanitize restrooms including mirrors

• Power wash showers and disinfect locker rooms

• Routinely power wash restrooms in assigned area

• Use riding floor scrubber if assigned area has tile floors

• Complete all assigned areas by end of shift

• Summer deep cleaning to include: refinishing floors, carpet cleaning and top to bottom cleaning

• Familiarize yourself with MDS sheets that pertain to chemicals in use

• Other duties as directed by the Custodian Manager

Applicant Criteria

Agreement with the Lenawee Christian Statement of Faith

Experience or working knowledge in the following areas:

• Vacuuming

• Mopping

• Scrubbing

• Floor refinishing

• Carpet cleaning

• Power washing

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals

• Able to Carry 20 pounds

• Effective time management is required
